Our entire team have provided successful programme and project management across a diverse range of change initiatives covering system, operating model and structure, societal, digital and technology, political, infrastructure and environmental change.
Examples of our major initiatives include:
- Strategic partner for development of New Zealand’s Emergency Management Implementation and Investment Roadmap. Cabinet approved in principle, subject to future budget.
- Design and delivery partner for a significant reform of the allowances regime for New Zealand Defence Force. The proposed changes were approved and subsequently implemented resulting in significant improvements to the employee value proposition.
- University of South Pacific – We partnered with the Centre for Sustainable Futures (CSF) to enhance their organisational capabilities and strategic impact. This partnership directly supported CSF's vital work in advancing Pacific-led sustainability initiatives, ensuring they have the organisational foundation needed to drive meaningful environmental and social change across the Pacific region.
- Electoral Commission – Our team managed critical project planning, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and resource allocation across multiple interdependent workstreams, while adapting to unprecedented COVID-19 challenges and managing contract variations for over 20,000 staff when the election date was shifted for the first time in New Zealand's history.
- TBL led the programme team for the Strong Public Media Programme, designing and establishing the initiative from inception right through to near delivery, including developing a three-tiered governance structure spanning Ministers, CEOs, and Programme levels. Our team facilitated strategic engagement with senior media and broadcasting industry leaders, developed comprehensive legislative roadmaps, and managed high-level ministerial stakeholder relationships to drive programme success.
- Design and delivery partner for successful implementation of a new sanctions regulatory system. Independently assessed as fit for purpose and nominated for a Public Service Spirit of Service award.
- Strategic adviser and delivery partner for APEC 2021 including supporting a rapid pivot from ‘in person’ to ‘digital’ event. ‘I have appreciated the collaborative way you have worked with the team to secure funding, plan and deliver successfully’ – SRO.
- Design and delivery partner for Defence’s Capability Management System which transformed the way Defence invests in, and develops, new military capabilities. The challenging system change led to a significant increase in investor confidence and an independent review found that ‘the capability management system now provides decision makers with a strong level of confidence and assurance to support informed decision making’. TBL was a Category 1 Finalist at the 2018 Minister of Defence Awards of Excellence to Industry. We continue to support Defence’s internal capability uplift and ongoing improvements to this system.
