Martyn Cole is a strategic infrastructure advisor with over 30 years’ experience delivering and advising on public water services in New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience supporting governance bodies, councils, and senior leadership teams to make informed infrastructure investment and performance decisions in complex regulatory environments.

He has led major asset management and service planning functions and has a strong reputation for providing clear, evidence-based analysis that enables decision-makers to understand risks, trade-offs, and the long-term implications of investment choices. Martyn is experienced in directing infrastructure strategies, advancing asset management practices, and aligning organisations with strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.

Throughout his career Martyn has held senior leadership roles within local government and consulting organisations and has contributed nationally through industry leadership and sector initiatives, including chairing the Water Services Managers Group and contributing to WaterNZ national performance review and metering guidance.
